Welcome to the Kingsthorpe Team Ministry
A warm welcome to the Kingsthorpe Team Ministry and our website. Across our three churches - St. David's, St. John the Baptist's and St. Mark's - we have a variety of services and activities for people of all ages and stages in their journey of faith. We offer a blend of traditional Eucharistic and contemporary worship, children's and youth activities, mid-week groups, and community events.
Whether you are a regular churchgoer or someone seeking to find out more about the Christian faith, we invite you to join us for friendship, fellowship and joyful celebration of the love of God.
Our vision is to grow together in faith
and to share God's love with all.
We take seriously our responsibility to protect and safeguard the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. All of our children and youth work complies with the Team's Safe Parish policy. A link to our Policy and Procedure can be found at the bottom of our Children and Youth page.
Canon Jane, our team rector writes...
As I write this we are well into Advent and waiting for Christmas. Christmas is less than a month away, and the world and the church are busy preparing for Christmas in very different ways. Advent is about waiting and preparing for the birth of the Christ Child. Of course we in church want to be the first to wish you a happy Christmas when the big day comes.
I wonder if you are counting how many sleeps there are to Christmas, certainly some of the younger members of our churches are. No doubt you are busy getting ready buying and preparing for the big day.
Yet amongst all the busy-ness of Christmas, family, parties, presents, the true gift of Christmas is a baby born 2000 years ago. Born away from home to unmarried parents. Yet here was the Saviour of the world being born, a baby that would change the world and individual people. That gift is still the best gift of Christmas, it will never wear out, Jesus won't get fed up of us, He will be our Saviour and friend for life.
God is here with us in the world. What ever that world is for us. Have a Happy and Blessed Christmas.
