Children and Youth

Children of all ages are welcome at all our services, and each of our churches have toys, books and other activities available for children to enjoy.  Some of our Sunday morning services are specifically all-age, family-orientated.  In the other Sunday morning services, there is the option - if you wish - for your children to go out and continue their worship with the help of Bible readings, crafts and games on the day's theme.  We also have a number of weekday groups for toddlers, children and young people.

All-Age and Family services

Our usual pattern of all-age, family orientated services is as follows:

St. David 1st Sunday
10am - All-Age Worship with Eucharist
St. John the Baptist 1st Sunday
10am - Family Eucharist
St. Mark 10am - Holy Communion - children are very welcome at all our services

For more information on these services and our provision for children on Sundays, please go to the specific church's area of our website.

Faith & Fun Youth Group

Faith and Fun is a group for 10 to 17 year olds.

We meet on Tuesday evenings at the Rectory, usually once a month, from 5.45pm to 7pm.  We have fun learning more about God and relating this to our daily lives and to the challenges of growing up today.

Twice a year, we have a social event - at Christmas and as we prepare to break up for the summer.  We also hold fun fund-raising events, such as the annual Pancake Party, car washes and evenings of entertainment.

Our young people had a brilliant time kayaking at the Nene Whitewater Centre.  They learnt how to paddle and control their boat, stand up without falling in the water, and transfer kayaks without sinking them (well, not too often!), and had fun playing tag in their kayaks.  It was great to watch them growing in confidence, by the end of the session even the most nervous of our group enjoyed jumped into the river and playing team games.  Our time on and in the river was followed by a team meal at Frankie & Benny's on Riverside Park.

For more information on Faith & Fun, please contact our team rector, Revd Canon Jane, on 01604 717133.
